The value of a first impression

One identity.
A thousand encounters.

Your logo leaves the screen. Its work begins.

On your building. In a customer’s feed. At the reception desk. Each encounter helps people recognize your business and decide what to expect.

We consider those moments together, so the identity you choose today can serve the business you’re becoming.

Recognition is built one impression at a time.

The Alleyway · A brand extension

A new character.
The same roots.

A fresh identity, with something personal to carry forward.

The Alleyway needed a character of its own and a connection to Harp & Crown. For the client, Irish heritage belonged in that story.

The gold interlaced border gives that heritage a place in the design. “By Harp & Crown” names the relationship. The cocktail-glass Y introduces the new concept.

We carried the identity through a digital brand package and the design and installation of the exterior sign.

Our perspective

Think beyond the logo approval.

A design you love is a promising beginning. Its real test is what your customers see.

A name that looks clear on a laptop may lose its presence when viewed from the road. A familiar color can feel different in light, depth and materials. We bring those considerations into the design conversation while choices are still easy to make.

That’s how we think like a marketing agency that makes signs: start with the impression your business should make, then work out how to deliver it.

From conversation to installation

One team to carry it through.

Bring us your vision, your existing brand or the feeling that your business has outgrown its first impression.

Let’s talk about your rebrand
  1. Understand what’s changing

We talk about your business, your customers and what deserves to stay recognizable. Together, we establish what the project needs to accomplish.

  2. Develop the identity in context

We design or adapt the brand for the places people will see it, considering scale, surroundings, materials and illumination where appropriate.

  3. Plan and deliver the signs

We manage sign design, required permitting, fabrication and installation, and coordinate the rollout with you. Property requirements and site conditions inform the plan.

Before you begin

A few practical answers.

Do we need a new logo or better signage?

If customers recognize your identity and it still represents the business, better physical presentation may be enough. If the business has changed, the identity may need attention too. We start with what’s working, what’s changed and what people see at your location before recommending the scope.

Can you work with our existing designer or brand?

Yes. We can execute an approved identity and work from your brand guidelines. We consider how it translates into physical signs and explain adaptations needed for the location, materials or viewing distance while preserving the character of the brand.

Can you help with a new location?

Yes. A new location is an opportunity to plan the first impression before the doors open. We can develop the identity or work with your established brand, then plan exterior and interior signage around the space and the way customers will arrive.

Does everything need to change at once?

We can help plan a phased rollout. The important part is deciding what needs to change together so customers can still recognize the business and find the right entrance. The right sequence depends on the identity changes, your locations and the signs already in place.

What affects the cost and timing?

The amount of brand development, number of signs and locations, materials, illumination, approvals and installation conditions all affect the project. We establish the scope and explain the proposal and schedule for your situation. A conversation about your business and location is the place to begin.
